Heinz Heise founded his telephone directory publishing company in 1949 in a two-room apartment in Hannover-Badenstedt. A good 70 years later, the family business—now run by Ansgar Heise, the third generation of the family—has grown into a diversified media company headquartered in Hannover-Großbuchholz.
