TV Station in Hannover

From its Lower Saxony broadcasting center on the Maschsee in Hannover, Norddeutscher Rundfunk provides news and information to viewers throughout the state. The programs “Niedersachsen 18.00 Uhr” and “Hallo Niedersachsen” highlight the issues that matter to people on the regional channel. Reporters and camera crews travel throughout the state every day to report on current events. NDR operates five studios and six correspondent offices in Lower Saxony and also provides content for other NDR and ARD programs.

ZDF also operates its Lower Saxony regional studio on Lake Masch in Hannover. About 30 employees work here, keeping them close to the people and events in the state. They produce reports from across the state of Lower Saxony for the entire network’s programming. Their coverage spans a broad spectrum, including the diverse areas of economic life, state politics, and all other social issues of interest to viewers of “ZDF” nationwide. 

The media company RTL NORD produces the regional programs of the same name, “RTL Nord,” at its four locations in Hannover, Bremen, Kiel, and Hamburg. News from the region for the region is broadcast in two editions—one covering the states of Lower Saxony and Bremen, and another covering Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein—in 30-minute programs. The editors in the north also work on the news and magazine programs of the RTL Deutschland media group.

Sat.1 Northern Germany, LLC On behalf of Seven.One Entertainment Group GmbH, it produces over 500 episodes annually of the regional magazines *17:30 SAT.1 REGIONAL* for Lower Saxony and Bremen, as well as *17:30 SAT.1 REGIONAL* for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. The segments are produced at the regional studio in Hannover, as well as at studios in Bremen, Hamburg, and Kiel.
