Dirk Rossmann opened his first “drugstore” in Hannover in 1972. To this day, Dirk Rossmann GmbH remains an owner-managed, internationally active family business, led since early 2022 by Raoul Rossmann, representing the second generation of the family. As of January 2023, Dirk Rossmann GmbH employs over 2,500 people in its stores, headquarters, and logistics operations in the greater Hannover area, making it one of the region’s largest employers.

Dirk Rossmann GmbH employs over 60,000 people across Europe, operates more than 4,500 stores, and reported revenue of 12.15 billion euros in 2022. This marks yet another year of revenue growth—up seven percent from the previous year.

ROSSMANN places great emphasis on sustainability. The company is constantly working to make its products and packaging more sustainable. In addition, it is further expanding its environmental and social initiatives across all areas of the business.
