Information about the tour

Marienburg Castle is located about 20 km south of Hanover at the foothills of the Deister. The former summer residence of the House of Welf, once a gift from King George V of Hanover to his wife, Queen Marie, remains in the family’s possession to this day. As you tour the south, west, and east wings, you’ll encounter a fascinating mix of rooms furnished with original pieces and information about the castle’s history.
