Information about the tour

Marienburg Castle is located about 20 km south of Hanover at the foothills of the Deister. The former summer residence of the House of Welf, once a gift from King George V of Hanover to his wife, Queen Marie, remains in the family’s possession to this day. On your tour through the south, west, and east wings, you’ll find an exciting mix of rooms furnished with original pieces and information about the castle’s history.
