The Expo Gardens on Kronsberg
The EXPO Gardens on Kronsberg are a major recreational area in Hannover that was created for the EXPO 2000 World’s Fair.
Kronsberg Expo Gardens
These modern and diverse gardens consist of three main areas: the "Gardens in Transition," the "EXPO Park South," and the "Parc Agricole."
Gardens in transition
Designed by Kamel Louafi, the "Gardens in Transition" extend over a length of 750 meters. The northern section is characterized by dark colors and geometric shapes, while the southern section is dominated by light colors and flowing shapes.
EXPO Park South
The 20-hectare Expo Park South impresses with its expansive landscape and striking features such as the Expo Whale and the Sky Towers.
Parc Agricole
The 24-hectare Parc Agricole on the eastern edge of the site combines park-like design with agricultural use and provides a habitat for rare animal and plant species.
The gardens are not only a place of relaxation for local residents and employees of nearby companies, but also a worthwhile destination for visitors from all over Hanover. The “Gardens in Transition” are open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., while EXPO-Park Süd and Parc Agricole are accessible at all times.
