The Vahrenwalder Park is located on a former industrial site

Vahrenwalder Park is a district park that was created in 1986 as a redevelopment project on a former industrial site on Dragonerstraße. The park has a spacious open meadow area as its centerpiece, whose peripheral areas offer space for various activities. Walls and pergolas with plants screen the park from traffic.

The second construction phase of Vahrenwalder Park was completed in 1997. Since then, the park has been used intensively by residents from the neighboring districts in particular. Special attractions include the perennial plants, a fountain and a large children's playground.
