The General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) in Hanover represents the interests of cyclists and advocates for better conditions for bicycle traffic. Its goal is to inspire more people to embrace the bicycle as a sustainable mode of transportation suitable for everyday use.

To that end, the ADFC offers a diverse program of tours featuring varied routes through the Hanover region. The guided tours are led primarily by volunteers and cater to a variety of groups—ranging from leisurely rides for beginners to longer tours for experienced cyclists. The routes take participants through the Leine Valley, to local farms, and to cultural attractions in the surrounding area, among other destinations.

In addition to the shared experience, the focus is also on the joy of being active outdoors. At the same time, the tours offer a fresh perspective on the region’s scenic diversity and demonstrate how easily many destinations can be reached by bike.
