Benther Berg

The Calenberger Land region, home to Benther Berg, is an ideal destination for day trips and local recreation.

An exciting local recreation area

Benther Berg is a wooded ridge approximately 3.5 km long that rises about 100 m above the surrounding area of Ronnenberg.
A flood control reservoir operated by Harzwasserwerke is located in the immediate vicinity. The mountain also features the remains of prehistoric burial mounds.
As a major destination for day trips and local recreation, the ridge is particularly popular with mountain bikers, but hiking here is also a special experience: along the Benther Berg nature trail, visitors can learn about the local flora and fauna. With a little luck, you can spot and hear the black woodpecker.
The Benther Berg takes its name from the village of Benthe, built on the mountain, which is part of the town of Ronnenberg.

The beautiful Calenberger Land region, with Benther Berg, is the perfect place for exploring on your own, whether on foot or by bike.
