At the end of August, the lake is bathed in the most magnificent colors for the mega-event “Lake Steinhuder Meer in Flames.” Enjoy a varied program, culinary specialties, illuminated boats, and a massive fireworks display. Other staples of the event calendar at Lake Steinhuder Meer include the historic fishing and street festival “Fischerkreidag,” the “Fischtival,” and the Mardorf Waterfront Festival.
