Sparkling wine cellar with tradition
Landestrost Castle is home to the Duprès-Kollmeyer sparkling wine cellar, whose origins date back to the 17th century. Since 1792, the Kollmeyer family has also operated a wine shop on Löwenbrücke in Neustadt. The Duprès sparkling wine cellar produces its renowned sparkling wine using the traditional bottle fermentation method, which yields the finest sparkling wines. The wine remains in the same bottle for up to six years, aging on champagne yeast in the cool castle cellars. A visit to this unique sparkling wine cellar in Lower Saxony, including a sparkling tasting, is an unforgettable experience—not just for sparkling wine lovers.
