In addition to activities for adults, the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park naturally offers plenty of nature-based adventures for children as well.

Nature Adventures for Kids

Throughout the year, children can develop their manual skills by carving and weaving with natural materials, sharpen their senses by tracking animals, or let off steam by building leaf huts in the forest. There’s especially plenty to discover and learn during the nature and wilderness days held during school breaks: Welcome to Steinhude’s Sculpture Promenade!

TIP: Be sure to ask about opportunities to observe the flora and fauna in the heart of the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park.

The brochure “Experience More Nature” features over 150 nature-based activities. There’s something for everyone, including children and families. For child-friendly nature experiences, please contact the tourist information offices in Steinhude, Mardorf, and Rehburg-Loccum.
