In the state-recognized resort town of Mardorf, you can stroll along a five-kilometer-long lakeside path and let the diverse vegetation, the maritime atmosphere, and the sweeping view of the sea—with the white sails of boats gliding by—put you in a summer mood. Numerous restaurants and eateries, both small and large, ensure that your appetite for fresh fish and other regional delicacies is satisfied.

Both the “Weiße Düne” beach and a sandy beach designed specifically for surfers are also very popular. Aloys-Bunge-Platz, located in the nearby town center and surrounded by lovingly restored half-timbered houses, hosts interesting events throughout the year.

Nature experiences are also a key focus: the nearby Tote Moor and the coastal meadows are important protected areas and provide habitat for numerous animal and plant species.
