Horseback ride to the House in the Woods

The trail is about 16.6 km long and winds through idyllic fields, forests, and moorlands. It starts at Hof Döpke in Isernhagen, in the village of Neuwarmbüchen. Riders will need to cross a road a few times, but this is usually not a problem since there is little traffic. From Hof Döpke, the trail initially heads toward Oldhorster Moor. After about 2 km, the village of Oldhorst appears on the left. To the left of it, you turn behind the village and ride northeast toward Engensen. Once you reach the old postal road leading from Hannover to Celle, continue straight ahead, past a large sand pit. The restaurant “Haus am Walde” is located at the end of the settlement on the Lahberg, right next to the forest.
