This campground is located in Mardorf; the Steinhuder Meer is just a few minutes away on foot, by bike, or by car. It is very quiet and situated in a wooded area, away from busy main roads.

Around the campground, you can get around on foot or by bike along well-maintained hiking and biking trails, or take a boat across the water—for example, to Wilhelmstein Island. For water sports enthusiasts, the Steinhuder Meer offers a paradise-like setting. The Icelandic horse farm in Mardorf, the climbing forest, and the public golf course are also located near the campground.
