The JohnnyB

Johnny B. is one of the largest youth centers in the Region Hannover. Established in 1968, this recreation and event center offers a wide range of recreational activities and events for children and teenagers in Burgdorf.

Leisure offer

Spanning approximately 800 square meters, JohnnyB features an open youth café, an internet café, workshops, a recording studio, a billiards and table tennis room, and a large outdoor area for playing and kicking a ball around. In addition, other municipal facilities are available for use, such as two gyms. Here, kids can let off steam, play soccer or basketball, climb, and engage in sports. During the summer months, the large terrace is a popular spot for barbecues and as a general gathering place.
In addition to music and dance programs, the offerings include circus and theater projects, as well as specific vacation activities such as the “Ferienpass.”
A new focus is the new art and creative program at JohnnyB: In the craft workshop, the painting studio, or while building sculptures, children and teens can learn about and experiment with a wide variety of materials and techniques.
Trips abroad, such as to Sardinia, have also been part of JohnnyB’s recreational offerings for several years.

The team

The children and teenagers are cared for by a reliable and trained team of social and special education teachers, supported by trainees, temporary staff, and interns.
