At the beginning of the 20th century, the residents of Ramlingen established their mud bath in the middle of the fields. It opened in 1939. While the bath shows its age, its advanced years only serve to highlight its unique charm. Bathers enjoy a beautiful view of the fields and feel right at home in the filtered, purified well water. People here aren’t squeamish. The water is cold and unheated, which provides a pleasant way to cool off, especially on hot summer days.
The Ramlingen Forest Pool is a “small but charming” spot located on the county road between Ramlingen and Engensen. It’s also the perfect place for a weekend family outing or as a destination for a bike ride.
