Großburgwedel Outdoor Pool

Outdoor pool with indoor heated pool, so you can also swim in the Nordic summer without freezing too much.

The heated outdoor pool is open daily during the summer months (May–September) from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. An inviting sunbathing area with a children’s wading pool, playground, and beach volleyball court is available to visitors. To keep boredom at bay, guests can play table tennis, chess, or outdoor billiards. On cold swimming days and in the morning hours, the heated indoor pool is open. Since April 2006, barrier-free access to the pool has been possible through the use of a mobile pool lift. The pool also features a wheelchair-accessible changing room, shower, and restroom. Access to the heated hall is also barrier-free.

Infrastructure

Water area:
Swimmers: 50×12 meters with a diving pit and 3-meter and 1-meter diving boards; Non-swimmers: approx. 22×12 meters with a slide; Padding pool with a small slide, a water hedgehog, and a water-spraying rhino; Temperature: 22–23°C

Amenities:
Restrooms, showers, changing rooms, baby changing area, heated indoor area, a sunbathing lawn for 4,000 people, plenty of sun and shade; lounge chairs and benches around the pool.

Activities:
Trampoline parks, lawn chess, outdoor billiards, table tennis, two beach volleyball courts, a beach soccer field, a soccer field, a large sports field; a children’s playground with a sandbox, climbing frames, a slide, swings, and especially fun wobbly animals

Dining:
Kiosk serving light meals with seating under trees or umbrellas; barbecue area next door
