At the Hannover Airport Experience Center, you can follow in the footsteps of aviation pioneers.
Flight simulators and more—Hannover Airport has plenty to offer on the ground as well.
Hannover Airport is not only a starting point for travel, but also a diverse destination in its own right. At the Hannover Airport Experience Center, you’ll find exciting insights into the world of aviation—from the observation deck and interactive exhibits to flight simulators, airport tours, and sightseeing flights. Aviation fans of all ages can experience the airport from a whole new perspective.
Experience Hannover Airport Up Close
The Hannover Airport Experience Center offers a wide range of activities centered around the theme of flying. From the 360° observation deck, you can watch planes take off and land up close and follow the action on the tarmac. Hands-on aircraft parts and the Kid’s Airport round out the experience. Admission to the observation deck is included in the ticket price for the “World of Aviation” exhibition.
World of aviation
How did the dream of flying become a reality? This interactive exhibition tells the story of aviation through real aircraft parts, multimedia stations, and informative exhibits. Visitors can learn more about airplanes, technology, and the work done at Hannover Airport.
Flight Simulators and Airport Tours
Take a seat in the cockpit and fly an Airbus A320 or a Boeing 737 yourself in the flight simulator. After a detailed briefing from an instructor, you’ll select the departure and destination airports as well as the weather conditions, and then take the controls for 60 minutes. The experience lasts about 90 minutes in total and costs 149 euros. Due to their complexity, simulator flights are available to participants ages 12 and up. The simulators are faithful replicas of the cockpits of both aircraft types, but are not the actual aircraft.
In addition, airport tours offer exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses—including the tarmac and, depending on the tour, other areas of the airport.

Visitor terrace
Where do airplanes look best from? From above, of course. That's why it's worth visiting the visitor terrace. It offers a panoramic view of the apron and the airport grounds.
