Benther Mountain

The Calenberger Land region, home to Benther Berg, is an ideal destination for day trips and local recreation.

An exciting local recreation area

The Benther Berg is a forested mountain range approximately 3.5 km long that rises about 100 m above the surrounding area of Ronnenberg.
A flood control reservoir operated by Harzwasserwerke is located in the immediate vicinity. The mountain also features the remains of prehistoric burial mounds.
As a major destination for day trips and local recreation, the ridge—with all its facets—is particularly popular among mountain bikers, but hiking here is also a special experience: On the Benther Berg nature trail, visitors can learn about the local flora and fauna. With a little luck, you can spot and hear the black woodpecker.
The Benther Berg takes its name from the village of Benthe, which was built on the mountain and is part of the town of Ronnenberg, among others.

The beautiful Calenberger Land region, with the Benther Berg, inspires you to go on your own exploration tours on foot or by bike.
