Museum of the History of Neustadt am Rübenberge

Through exhibitions and lectures, the history of this former royal seat and county town—and of the Neustadt region—comes back to life.

The City Museum in Neustadt am Rübenberge is housed in a historic half-timbered building.

It also houses the collection of the former local history museum: the Museum of City History in Neustadt am Rübenberge.

The Museum of Local History has been located since 1994 in the historic half-timbered house at "An der Liebfrauenkirche 7," which is a listed building. It is operated by the Museumsverein Neustädter Land e.V., which was founded in 1992 and took over the collections of the former local history museum of the Neustadt am Rübenberge district from the Hanover district administration.

The Museum of City History is once again making the most important collections of the former local history museum available to the public. These collections are continually expanded through new acquisitions, donations, and bequests.
