The Climate Protection Agency for the Hannover Region is a key point of contact for these and many other questions. Since 2001, this nonprofit organization has been coordinating climate protection initiatives and supporting the region on its path to climate neutrality. Its goal: to inform people, motivate them to take action, and work together to reduce climate-damaging emissions.

Free, independent, and unbiased advice
One of the Climate Protection Agency’s main focuses is providing advice to citizens, homeowners, and businesses, as well as offering ongoing support to municipalities. Its services are independent, impartial, and free of charge in most areas. Topics range from energy-efficient building retrofits and solar energy to electricity conservation and available funding opportunities. Region The Hannover Region Climate Protection Agency is a nonprofit investment company owned by the Hannover Region and the State Capital of Hannover. Together with other shareholders, companies, institutions, and a support association, it brings together various stakeholders to promote climate protection. About 30 employees are working to make climate protection in the region concrete and actionable.
