The Jungle Book

From May through September, the Deister Open-Air Theater presents Rudyard Kipling’s world-famous story, featuring elaborate costumes and sets, a large cast, and rousing songs.

Stage scene

Deep in the jungle, the human boy Mowgli grows up among the wolves—free, curious, and full of zest for life. But when the dangerous tiger Shere Khan returns, his carefree jungle life comes to an end. Mowgli must decide: Where does he belong? With the pack or with the humans? On his adventurous journey through the jungle, he experiences wild, funny, and sometimes thought-provoking moments—and finds true friends by his side in Bagheera and Baloo.

Following the success of “Madagascar,” director Delphine Hindemitt brings the magic of the jungle back to the stage—with a large cast, imaginative costumes, and plenty of music. A musical about courage, friendship, and the question of who we really are. Exciting, funny, and touching all at once.

Thanks to its catchy songs and witty dialogue, the play is suitable for children as young as 5. But older audiences will also enjoy this fast-paced coming-of-age story.

Tickets are available online at Reservix.
