Chambermaid von Beckedorf's garden house

Here you will find information about the garden house of the chambermaid von Beckedorf.

The garden house was built in 1817 in the Neoclassical style on Jägerstraße in the Georgengarten, based on plans by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves. After Beckedorf’s death, the house was sold and eventually moved in 1873 to its current location, the Limmerbrunnen. At that time, the Limmerbrunnen was a bathing facility fed by a sulfur-rich healing spring.
