Georgenpalais
The Georgenpalais was built between 1780 and 1782 by Mr. Tänzel on behalf of Count Johann Ludwig von Wallmoden-Gimborn and was initially called the Wallmoden Palace. The driveway and the candelabras were designed by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves. In 1817, the palace was sold to George III and renamed. From then on, it was known as the Georgenpalais. Today, the palace houses the “Wilhelm Busch – German Museum of Caricature and Drawing.”
