Lavesbrücken

Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves designed not only buildings but also bridges in Hannover.

Four bridges designed by Laves still stand in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen today. The Friederikenbrücke, built in 1839, spans the Graft in the Großer Garten; the Lavesbrücke, built in 1844, is located in the Welfengarten; and the Georgengarten is home to the Augustenbrücke, built in 1840 (see photo), and the iron drawbridge, built in 1837.
