Post mill in Hermann-Löns-Park

The post mill is situated in a very idyllic spot in Hermann-Löns Park.

A renovated post mill on a hill — Renovated trestle windmill

The old post mill, built in 1701, was taken out of service in 1935 and later moved to Hermann-Löns-Park. Due to the risk of collapse, the mill was dismantled in 2008. The mill’s long period of disuse was cited as the main cause of the damage. After restoration, the mill was rebuilt in 2012. The mill is part of the Lower Saxony Mill Route.

The Anderter windmill in the Anderten district is also part of the Lower Saxony Mill Route.
