Königsworth Bridge

The bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Hanover.

The architect of the Königsworth Bridge, completed in 1890, is unknown today. The bridge spans the Leine River and was built as a flat, single-arch bridge clad in natural stone, featuring an attractive, openwork railing. The bridge is adorned with four magnificent candelabras by Carl Dopmeyer, which were installed in 1898. The ornate candelabras depict classic mythical sea creatures and are artfully crafted.
