Guided tour of the Berggarten

Discover botanical treasures and unique plant collections from all over the world!

As a botanical garden, it is known for its unique plant collection. Over 12,000 plant species in the garden can be viewed year-round. The exhibition greenhouses showcase plants from all over the world. The Orchid House features one of the largest permanent orchid exhibitions in Europe. Here, up to 800 orchids bloom year-round, displaying a fascinating variety of colors and shapes. The Tropical Greenhouse impresses with tropical and subtropical rarities, while the Cactus Greenhouses house a comprehensive collection of diverse cacti and succulents.

Other plants can be discovered in the ornamental courtyard, where they adorn the flower beds. Continue your stroll through the various themed gardens - from the heath to the desert garden to the mausoleum, which was built according to the plans of court architect Laves.
