Ottolien
The indie pop duo OTTOLIEN will perform “Im Schutz der Nacht” at a major open-air concert in their hometown of Hanover on August 8, 2026, as part of the “Sommernächte” festival at the Gartentheater. OTTOLIEN consists of brothers Leo and Jonas. One is a producer, rapper, and beatmaker; the other is an intellectual lyricist and guitarist. In their lyrics, double-rhyme structures meet a visual language that draws on every pop culture reference imaginable. Following their debut album ‘WIR TUN UNS SO GUT WEH’ (2023) and their second album ‘Bleib Lieb’ (2025), the brothers have firmly established themselves in the German-language indie scene. Their live portfolio includes numerous festival shows, including the Southside Festival, the Reeperbahn Festival, the c/o pop Festival, Nürnberg Pop, Blaumachen, and the KiezKultur Festival.
OTTOLIEN fans can look forward to a hardcover ticket designed by the band—it’s available in a limited edition for a special price of 20 euros. The ticket can be ordered by emailing booking@ottolienmusik.de—or directly from the band, if you happen to run into the musicians.
Opening act at the Ottolien concert: Thelma Malar
Thelma Malar kicks off the evening as the opening act. Thelma powerfully brings her ideas to life, crafting a sound of German pop that feels fresh yet at the same time as if it had always been there. It moves between expansiveness and fragility, intimacy and intensity. Between tenderness and defiance, bass lines and backing vocals blend with Thelma’s honest lyrics.
