The interior design of the grotto in the Great Garden was Niki de Saint Phalle's last work.

The grotto was built in 1676 in the Great Garden. From 2001 to 2003, the three interior rooms were redesigned according to plans by Niki de Saint Phalle. Colourful glass and mirror ornaments symbolize spirituality.
