Linden Combined Heat and Power Plant: “The Three Warm Brothers”
The Linden Combined Heat and Power Plant is known by the nickname “The Three Warm Brothers.” It is a cultural icon and landmark of this Hannover neighborhood.
Since June 2013, the three eye-catching power station towers have been shining in the light of the new permanent illumination in the evening and morning hours. A municipal energy supplier is responsible for illuminating numerous prestigious buildings, monuments and works of art - including the combined heat and power plant.
Based on a lighting concept developed by the city’s lighting team, 72 spotlights equipped with special LED bulbs were installed around the three power plant towers and on their roofs. This illuminates the towers in shades of red and violet, with smooth transitions between the colors. The striking structure lends a whole new touch to Hanover at night and enhances the appeal of the trendy Linden district.
