Stadium pool

The Stadionbad was built in 1972 as one of the most modern swimming pools in Germany. The building is shaped like a shell. The pool features a 50 × 21 m swimming pool with a 1-meter board, a 3-meter tower, and a large diving tower with an elevator and diving platforms at heights of 5 m, 7.5 m, and 10 m. At the diving tower, there are 22 large underwater windows in the pool at a depth of approximately two meters, allowing visitors to observe the diving area from the basement level. The pool also features a 26 × 12.75-meter non-swimmer pool with a small slide, massage jets, and a water mushroom, as well as a small wading pool with a water-spouting clown for babies. Other facilities at the Stadionbad include a bistro with glass windows overlooking the swimming hall, a swim shop, a sauna, lounge chairs, and heated benches. The outdoor area features an approximately 5,000 m² sunbathing lawn with a play area for children and table tennis tables. The Stadionbad also hosts numerous water sports events and competitions, some of which are international. For spectators, there are two grandstands with 400 seats.
