The TIB (as it is also known) is located directly opposite the Welfenschloss. The library belongs to the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University and is the German Central Library for Technology, Architecture, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics. The library was founded in 1959 and is a member of the Leibniz Association.
