Gatehouse at the Aegi

The Torhaus is located opposite the Theater am Aegi.

The Torhaus Hannover was built by Storch Ehlers Partner Architekten. Since the building could not be constructed on top of the tram station below for structural reasons, it had to be "suspended," so to speak. Large steel girders transfer the building's weight to the rear section via wire ropes.
