Gatehouse at the Aegi

The Torhaus is located opposite the Theater am Aegi.

The Torhaus Hannover was designed by Storch Ehlers Partner Architekten. Because the building could not be constructed directly above the light rail station below for structural reasons, it had to be effectively “suspended.” Large steel girders transfer the building’s weight to the rear section via steel cables.
