City of gardens: experience 700 years of garden culture

The tour takes you past historic cemeteries, impressive gardens, and picturesque green spaces. A particular highlight is the Gartenfriedhof, one of the city’s oldest cemeteries, where several well-known figures from Hannover are laid to rest. The Stadtpark is also well worth a visit, delighting visitors with its diverse range of garden styles, as is the idyllic Hermann-Löns-Park, a green oasis of tranquility.

But the real highlight of the tour awaits you at the end: the magnificent Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen. In the Great Garden, one of Europe’s most significant Baroque gardens, you’ll experience masterful garden design at its finest. A visit is especially worthwhile, as this impressive garden landscape will celebrate its 350th anniversary in 2025.

This tour is also available as a private city tour from April through October.
