The Dachenhausen Palace was built in 1785 and served as a residence and official seat for the mayor of Calenberger Neustadt and other high-ranking officials. It was later named after its resident, Friedrich Wilhelm von Dachenhausen. Today, the Dachenhausen Palace is the only surviving former aristocratic palace in the Calenberger Neustadt district.
The only aristocratic palace remaining in the Calenberger Neustadt district, it served as a residence and official seat for the local mayor and other high-ranking officials beginning in 1814. The building was constructed in 1785 and is named after its original occupant, the Hanoverian district bailiff Friedrich Wilhelm von Dachenhausen. Since 1968, various institutions of the Friederikenstift have been using the Dachenhausen Palace.
