Marstall Bridge/Martin Neuffer Bridge

The Marstall Bridge was built between 1736 and 1737 to connect Hanover’s Old Town with the Calenberger Neustadt, based on plans by Chief Court Architect Johann Paul Heumann. After suffering severe damage during World War II, the bridge was rebuilt in 1953 to its original design. In 2010, the bridge was renamed the Martin-Neuffer-Brücke in honor of a former city manager.
