The Wallmoden Pavilion in the Georgengarten was built between 1779 and 1782 by court master mason and architect Johann Georg Täntzel. It was commissioned by Count Johann Ludwig von Wallmoden-Gimborn, who, with this structure, also laid the foundation for the Georgengarten. In 1817, the Wallmoden Pavilion was sold to King George III. Today, it houses the Wilhelm Busch – German Museum of Caricature and Drawing.
