Here you will find information about the library pavilion.
The Library Pavilion in the Berggarten was built between 1817 and 1820 under the direction of Georg Laves in the French Classicist style to serve as the head gardener’s residence. The central rotunda is aligned with the central axis of the Orangery and Gallery buildings. Today, the pavilion houses the administrative offices of the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
Even from Königsworther Platz, it can be seen in the vanishing-point perspective of Herrenhäuser Allee: the Library Pavilion in Berggarten. Georg Laves led the team responsible for its construction beginning in 1817. The master gardener’s pavilion, designed in the French classical style, now houses the administration offices for the garden complex. The central rotunda is aligned along the central axis of the orangery and the gallery buildings.
