Here you will find information about the Basilica of St. Clemens.

Basilica of St. Clemens

The basilica was built between 1711 and 1718 by court Kapellmeister Agostino Steffani, based on plans by the Italian architect Tommaso Giusti. The original design called for a Venetian-style domed structure flanked by two towers, but the dome and towers were omitted for financial reasons. After its destruction during World War II, the church was rebuilt with a dome, following Giusti’s original plans.
