20th Leibniz Temple

Here you will find information about the Leibniz Temple.

The Leibniz Temple in the Georgengarten was built as a pavilion with twelve Ionic columns between 1787 and 1790 in honor of the Hanoverian polymath Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. It was the first monument to honor a non-nobleman in Germany. The Leibniz Temple originally stood on Waterlooplatz, but was moved here in 1935.
