Leibniz Library

The Lower Saxony State Library received its new name in 2005: Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Bibliothek - Niedersächsische Landesbibliothek. With a collection of almost two million books, journals and digital media, it is one of the largest regional libraries in Germany. Leibniz was already collecting in the sense of a universal library at that time. This made sense, as he was at home in all fields of knowledge. Today, 1.6 million media units can be found here, mainly books. In addition to a bust, exhibits of his writings and other objects can also be admired
