3 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Society

Based at the Leibniz Library, the Society—founded in 1966 with approximately 400 members—fosters connections between academic disciplines and promotes Leibniz’s ideas. To date, nine international Leibniz congresses have been held in Buenos Aires, Rome, and Montreal. The multilingual journal Studia Leibnitiana is published twice a year and addresses issues in the history of philosophy and science. Every year on November 14, a commemorative ceremony is organized at the Neustadt Court and City Church of St. Johannis.
