The bust of the polymath Leibniz

The museum at the reconstructed Herrenhausen Palace has been open since May 2013 and showcases famous figures from Hanover’s court history as well as Baroque treasures. The original Leibniz bust has found a new and secure home here. The marble bust is inscribed with “LEIBNITZ”—the use of “tz” instead of “z” in the name was quite common in Leibniz’s time.
