The Großer Garten is one of the most significant Baroque gardens in Europe. A major attraction here is the reconstructed palace, which now houses the new Museum Schloss Herrenhausen. The Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen are also famous for their diverse program of events, including the International Fireworks Competition, the KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen, and many other high-caliber concerts, musicals, and dance performances. Come and be enchanted!
Equally worth seeing is the Berggarten, a botanical show garden featuring around 12,000 different plant species. In its greenhouses, visitors can discover, among other things, up to 800 blooming orchids, tropical rarities, and a wide variety of cacti and succulents all year round.
