Herrenhäuser Gärten – Garden Art and Culture at the Highest Level

The Great Garden is one of the most significant Baroque gardens in Europe. A major attraction here is the reconstructed palace, which now houses the new Herrenhausen Palace Museum. The Herrenhausen Gardens are also famous for their diverse program of events, such as the International Fireworks Competition, the KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen, and many other world-class concerts, musicals, and dance performances. Let yourself be enchanted!

Equally worth seeing is the Berggarten, a botanical show garden featuring some 12,000 different plant species. In its greenhouses, visitors can discover, among other things, up to 800 blooming orchids, tropical rarities, and a wide variety of cacti and succulents all year round.
