Take a leisurely stroll through one of Europe’s best-preserved Baroque gardens—the Großer Garten—with its history spanning over 300 years. Be inspired by the intricate patterns of boxwood, marble gravel, and flower beds. A special highlight is the grotto, decorated with colorful mosaics by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
The Berggarten is also worth a visit. As a botanical garden, it is known for its unique collection of plants from all over the world. Its greenhouses are home to up to 800 blooming orchids at any given time. Since 2013, there has also been another top attraction in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen: Herrenhausen Palace invites guests to discover the diversity of its extensive palace and garden complex in an entertaining way.
