Beber-Rohrsen Outdoor Pool

Small but nice, the unheated outdoor pool is well laid out so that a visit is relaxing for parents and children alike

Construction on the outdoor pool began in 1936, making the Beber-Rohrsen Outdoor Pool the oldest outdoor pool in the Bad Münder area. When the pool was threatened with closure, a local chapter of the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) was first established, followed by the “Fördergemeinschaft Freibad Beber-Rohrsen” (Beber-Rohrsen Outdoor Pool Support Group), and finally the “Freibad Freunde Beber-Rohrsen” (Friends of the Beber-Rohrsen Outdoor Pool) association, which now manages the facility and works tirelessly to preserve the outdoor pool. With a capacity of approximately 300 people, it is one of the most family-friendly facilities in town. Children can play in the water while parents relax on the sunbathing lawn and, thanks to the open layout, always have a view of their children.
