String lights, decorated Christmas trees, and the scent of roasted almonds and hot punch transform the castle’s stately courtyard, the gallery, and the magnificent tree-lined avenue into a fairy-tale-like setting for the pre-Christmas market at Herrenhausen Palace. Mulled wine, cookies, arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, lovely items for a cozy home, and countless gift ideas—in short, everything that warms the heart and soul delights visitors of all ages here. Starting Wednesday, around 130 exhibitors will welcome visitors with their lovingly curated selections..

Highlight: Illumination in the Great Garden

As dusk falls, starting at 5 p.m., a very special experience begins: The illuminated Great Garden is then open exclusively to visitors of the Winter Magic event. Sparkling lights bathe the Baroque garden in an extraordinary atmosphere, making the Winter Magic a special experience even in the evening.
