Messegelände Hannover
30521 Hannover
With a total area of approximately half a million square meters, the fairground is among the largest in the world.
Charaktervolle Architektur, individuelle Einheiten
The fairground features 24 exhibition halls and pavilions covering an area of 392,453 square meters—a multifunctional complex with distinctive architectural design. An additional 58,000 square meters of open space offers virtually limitless possibilities. Glass-enclosed walkways and various green spaces and quiet zones create a relaxed yet productive atmosphere. Since each section has its own infrastructure, the West, Central, and East areas can be used in parallel and independently of one another. Individual microcosms can be structured in such a way that short distances are guaranteed despite the expansive grounds. Thanks to the division into individually usable units, an optimal spatial solution is always available for the respective requirements. This results in a vast selection of different scenarios.
A transparent foyer connects two large halls and is flanked on both sides by numerous smaller halls. The convention center’s commercial kitchen ensures that all areas are quickly supplied with food and beverages. The foyer itself impresses with its grand staircase cascade, where the individual staircases leading to the conference rooms begin. The foyer alone offers 500 square meters of exhibition space. The materials used are of exceptionally high quality, such as the elegant light-colored marble found throughout the foyer.
The layout of the space is highly functional. For example, visitors who take the elevator to the panoramic restaurant not only enjoy a fantastic view but can also savor the culinary offerings. In short, the Convention Center is not only a fully-fledged convention center; it also stands out as a timelessly modern microcosm in the heart of the Fairground.
Optimal accessibility
Transportation to and from the Fairground is characterized by a transportation infrastructure that benefits from Hannover’s central location and excellent connections to all modes of transport. The exhibition center station serves as a stop for both regular and special long-distance trains; a helipad enables direct flights to Hannover Airport; and two modern light rail stations provide direct connections to the city center. The Fairground has direct access to the east-west and north-south highways (A2 and A7). Approximately 39,000 parking spaces are available for cars.
Tip: During major trade fairs, many long-distance trains operated by Deutsche Bahn, as well as local trains operated by Metronom and Erixx, also stop at the Hannover Messe/Laatzen station.
