Lieblingsbar

The “Lieblingsbar” opened on February 14, 2017, as a restaurant-bar on the market square in the Herrenhausen neighborhood. The “Lieblingsbar” aims to be the local favorite spot every single day—a place where our guests can enjoy their favorite drinks and meals, meet their favorite people, read their favorite books, and listen to their favorite music—in short: where they simply love to spend their free time during the day or in the evening. But the “Lieblingsbar” aims to make every day a favorite day for our guests—not just in terms of atmosphere but also in terms of cuisine—using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that reflect the season. We know our suppliers personally and place great importance on short supply chains when purchasing: the bread for our favorite open-faced sandwiches and the rolls for the weekend breakfast buffet come from a local artisan bakery, the meat for the burgers and grilled sausages from the local butcher, and the draft beer from breweries in and around Hanover.

In 2017, the “Lieblingsbar” was nominated for “Newcomer of the Year” by the prestigious trade magazine “Mixology”; in 2018, the up-and-coming bartenders from the “Lieblingsbar” won several state-wide cocktail competitions; Finally, in 2019, the “Lieblingsbar” was voted “Bar of the Year” at the 1st “Night of Gastronomy” in Hanover’s Kuppelsaal on March 4, received an award for the best “Digiscout” project on October 24, and was ultimately rated the best bar in Hanover by the trade magazine “Falstaff”!
